Farm Friday - the Portage Path

Aug 14, 2020

Farm Fridays are free educational program held at 10:30 a.m. every Friday now through August 28th.

Join us on August 14th for a program on the historic Portage Path, once the western boundary of the United States.

We'll learn about America's First Peoples, the path they took between the Cuyahoga and Tuscarawas Rivers right here in Akron, and we'll finish the program with an obstacle course.

Please bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the event. Masks and social distancing will be enforced.

The Mutton Hill temporary gift shop in the Wash House will be open with books and products for all ages!

Society educational program funding provided in part by the Akron Community Foundation, County of Summit, Huntington-Akron Foundation and the Modibo Mutton Hill Fund at the Akron Community Foundation.

Friday and Saturday open days funded through a grant from the Ohio Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the CARES Act of 2020.
