Doug Piekarz, Akron Zoo, and Leianne Neff Heppner, Summit County Historical Society, will lead the group up the hill to the John Brown Monument. Learn more about the local abolitionist who helped spark the Civil War!

Akron Zoo back parking lot. Please come in main entrance and turn left and follow parking lot to end. We will meet at the fence before going up the hill. Please come prepared for the weather and note that the hike is on an incline. Event will occur rain or shine.
