Jun 03, 2022

10:30 a.m.  -  FREE - Join us on the Perkins Stone Mansion lawn, 550 Copley Road, Akron!

Our preschool through 6th grade learners summer programming is back! Farm Fridays are presented each Friday June 3rd through September 2nd starting at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m. for the littles (preschool - 1st grade) and 11:45 a.m. for the older students.

Each week is a different theme using the Society's Outreach Discovery Trunks. This week will feature a special programming on storytelling. Older students will learn about local and state urban legends and the little ones will enjoy Stories with the Sheep and Mother Goose tales with our friends at the Akron-Summit County Public Library before Society volunteer Emily and her working dog Dyna give a sheep herding demostration.

Farm Fridays are held in sunshine and rain. Parking is availalble in the grass lot at S. Portage Path and Copley Road or at the paved John Brown House lot on Diagonal Road. The paved lot adjacent to the Perkins Stone Mansion grounds will be reserved for handicapped and school bus/van parking.
