Farm Friday - Farm Chores

Aug 28, 2020

Farm Fridays are free educational programs held at 10:30 a.m.  This is the last Farm Friday of the season!

Join us on August 28th for a program on farm chores.  Children will complete chores and enjoy learning about life on the farm. The Perkins Stone Mansion was a farm with over 150 acres one mile outside the town of Akron in the 1840s and 1850s. It is the home of Akron and Summit County's founding family.

Please bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the event. Masks and social distancing will be enforced.

The Mutton Hill temporary gift shop in the Wash House will be open with books and products for all ages!

Society educational program funding provided in part by the Akron Community Foundation, County of Summit, Huntington-Akron Foundation and the Modibo Mutton Hill Fund at the Akron Community Foundation.

Friday and Saturday open days funded through a grant from the Ohio Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the CARES Act of 2020.
