It's time to celebrate the Society's birthday with our annual Family Fun Day with a Christmas in July theme!
Noon - 4 p.m. Free and open to the public.
The first floor of the Perkins Stone Mansion and John Brown House will be open and Society shepherdess Edie Steiner and her working dogs Rudy, Luke, Lincoln and Owen will be here with assistance from the new gal, Dyna, and her owner Emily.
Talking about dogs and sheep, Zeber-Martell is making a special holiday ornament for Mutton Hill this year. You can preorder yours at the event. They are $20 each with proceeds benefiting the outdoor dog and sheep programming.
There will be games and activities too, plus a photo opportunity with an antique Collins sleigh made in Akron that was restored and donated by Belinda Palmiter of Michigan.
